Just the thought of buying a house and selling our house makes me feel tired and very apprehensive about the whole process. That’s why it took us years to decide to do it. Then we met you by chance.
At that time, it’s hard to let go of our house in Pickering but at the same time we are also ready to move on and buy a house. Our children are growing and they deserve a bigger space that they will enjoy while they are living with us. You started to show us a few houses already and never did ask us to sign an agreement with you. We were the ones who decided to have everything in writing. I remembered you told us that it’s not your style and you wanted us to feel comfortable discussing that with you. We felt your sincerity in helping us to find the right house for us. You made it so easy for us
throughout the whole process with patience.
You never get tired of answering our never ending questions, it doesn’t matter what time of day, you will find a way to respond to our calls and texts even if we know how busy you are. Sometimes, we were thinking if you ever sleep at all. J I’ve never met someone who is as dedicated as you with work.

Some people just emit warmth and genuineness, and you know you can trust them even from the very moment you meet them. It was still the peak of COVID and with the mask and 6ft distance, we could not see Jacqueline’s face, but even after the first house we saw, we knew that we got ourselves not only an excellent realtor but also a good friend. It was early in the day and after a 2 hr drive from Niagara we were sleepy and famished. She greeted us with coffee and Timbits :), and we couldn’t stop thanking her. Jacqueline is extremely knowledgeable and was totally honest and frank about everything. The day we moved in, she brought home a house-warming gift basket full of yummy stuff for us and Our dog Rusty, including a custom dog tag with his name engraved on it. We have communicated with our fair share of realtors, and what really impressed us was also how meticulously everything was put together. Her attention to details is amazing. There was never a “I’ll do it tomorrow”. It was always “I’m sending it to you right away” and she did.
We feel lucky to have met her, and thanks to her Rusty is having the time of his life in his new home and so are we 🙂
As seniors, we were nervous to sell the house that had been our family home for 47 years. Jacqueline saw that our needs were met and helped us with the details – changing our phone, internet and all our utilities over to our new home. She made the process as stress free as possible – she arranged packing, junk removal and packing for us. Jacqueline sold us a condo which we love and we could not be more happy and impressed with her service! I would recommend Jacqueline to any seniors (or anyone) who is thinking of making a move. Jacqueline is amazing. She has helped me so much over the past years.
She first moved mountains to help me find a place to rent, 3 years ago, when I just arrived here from the Netherlands. It was not easy to find a place with no credit score (as that is something we don’t use/have in the Netherlands) but she went way beyond the extra mile and found me something. 3 years later she went all in again to help me buy my first home here in Whitby. I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Jacqueline Millar on two separate transactions. Once in 2019 when I was buying a house after a divorce; (when Jacqueline and I spent endless hours finding the absolutely perfect house for my pets and me), and again this year when my father passed away, she was
there to guide and help us with the sale of our family home for over 50 years. Jacqueline is not only a great real estate agent; she is an exceptional person who puts “her all” into her work. She is a kind and caring individual who always has the best interest of her clients in mind.
Jacqueline makes herself available for her clients and will work around our schedule. If I call or text message her, she gets back to me right away, or lets me know she is busy and will get back to me as soon as possible, and she always has.
I truly appreciated all the guidance Jacqueline has provided me, and my siblings during this sale. She walked us through the process from beginning to end. She provided us with a booklet full of information from market research, recent sales in the neighbourhood, to give us an idea of what the homes were going for, that she walked us through from start to finish. She also advised what we should or should not do to the house before the sale, so we understood what brings value and what doesn’t. Jacqueline arranged for the stagers and photographer/videographer, who were all professional and did a fantastic job.
When we had a hiccup with timing with the MaxSold team, she jumped into gear and rearranged the timelines for the listing and sale. When we needed to find cleaners, Jacqueline provided us some names and found us folks who would come in and do the cleaning on the Thanksgiving weekend so we could still stick to our dates. During the offer process Jacqueline walked us through each and every one of the offers, she pointed out red flags and was so patient with all of our questions.
Jacqueline kept us abreast of everything during the process, with very detailed emails laying out everything step by step. When the purchasers wanted an amendment to the contract to add another person to the sale, she contacted us right away and also called our lawyer to ensure that there were no issues with the amendment.
I would highly recommend Jacqueline to anyone who is looking to buy or sell a house, and if I find myself in that position again in the future, Jacqueline will be the first person I contact.
